This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when using the mobile app Bubble Booster for Android via the Google Play Store.

B. Installation and technical provision

Google Play Store

During installation, updates and use of store functions, the respective store provider, in particular Google Ireland Limited as operator of Google Play, processes data as an independent controller. This may include store account data, payment data, device information, download information and security information. We have no influence over this processing; the privacy notices of the store provider apply.

App permissions

Bubble Booster requires the Internet permission to provide advertising, in-app purchases, optional crash reports and external links. We do not process location, contacts, camera, microphone or push notification data.

C. Local data processing in the app

No own backend and no own user account: According to the current technical setup, game progress and settings are stored locally on your device. They are not synchronised to our servers.

Local game progress, settings and statistics

The app stores data required for gameplay locally on the device, in particular using an embedded database (Hive):

  • Settings Language, sound on/off, vibration on/off, local “remove ads” status
  • Progress and character data unlocked characters, levels, experience points, stats, inventory, items and level progress
  • Scores and achievements score, best time, attempts, reached height, stars/medals, achievement progress and play times
  • Game metrics last play times for individual levels, unlocked nodes/milestones and map modifications

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract / provision of gameplay features). These local game records are not technically transmitted to us or third parties by the app. The operating system may, however, transfer local app data to cloud services of the platform provider as part of its own backup or device transfer functions; the respective platform provider is responsible for that processing.

Deletion of local data

You can delete local data by uninstalling the app using Android system functions, deleting app data in the system settings or, where provided, by using an in-app reset function. For copies stored by Google Backup or comparable platform services, the deletion mechanisms of the relevant provider apply.

D. Advertising via Google AdMob

Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK

Use: Rewarded ads, for example for a second chance after game over. If the “remove ads” in-app purchase is active, no rewarded-ad flow is started in the game.
Possible data: IP address, advertising ID or app set ID, other device or account identifiers, ad interactions, app launches, taps, video views as well as diagnostic and performance information.
Purposes: Ad delivery, ad measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention.
Recipients: Google Ireland Limited, and where applicable other Google group companies and advertising partners.

Consent management

The app uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to check, depending on region, device settings and Google account, whether a privacy or tracking consent is required. Where required, UMP displays a form in which you can accept or reject processing. Ads are only loaded once the UMP logic technically allows the request. Where consent is required for advertising IDs, personalised advertising or tracking, we rely on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 TDDDG. For purely technical processing that does not require consent, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR may apply.

You can change your advertising preferences via the privacy options provided in the app, the Android advertising ID settings or your Google account. Further information: Google UMP SDK, Google Mobile Ads SDK Data Disclosure and Google Privacy Policy.

E. In-app purchases

Google Play Billing

Products: “Remove ads” as a permanent unlock and XP bundles as consumable purchases.
Process: The purchase process is handled through Google Play. The app receives technical purchase information such as product ID and purchase status in order to set the local status or credit XP locally.
Payment data: Payment data and billing are processed by Google; we do not store payment data on our own servers.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

Further information is available in the Google Play and Google Payments notices as well as in the Google Play Billing documentation.

F. Optional crash reports via Sentry

The app may include support for Sentry Flutter as crash and error monitoring. As long as no production Sentry DSN is activated, no data is transmitted to Sentry. If Sentry is activated, error and crash data, stack traces, app version, platform, performance data and manually set technical context tags may be processed. The configuration sendDefaultPii = false is intended to prevent default personal information from being transmitted by default.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in app stability, troubleshooting and security). The recipient is Sentry Inc. or Sentry GmbH depending on the configuration. International transfers may be safeguarded by appropriate guarantees such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information: Sentry and Your Data and Sentry DPA.

G. Optional platform login

Where the app offers a voluntary login via Google Play Games Services, the respective platform SDK checks whether login is possible and may retrieve the displayed player name. According to the current setup, this name is not permanently stored in our local database. Google may process additional data within its own services, such as player ID, nickname, avatar or statistics.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the voluntarily used gameplay feature and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for convenience and integration functions. Any further processing by Google is carried out under Google's own responsibility.
